What are playgroups?
Playgroups are regular and relaxed meetings for groups of young children who have not yet started primary school. Children play while parents and carers supervise and connect.
Playgroups are great for:
providing safe and nurturing environments for children to play and learn
enhancing early brain development through play
providing opportunities for children to create, invent, reason and problem solve
developing social skills and friendships with other children and adults
nurturing the parent-child bond and increasing parental capacity and confidence
strengthening community connection with peers and local support networks
